I don't care that it's a virgin, I care that some guy that did a handful of tasteless half baked mods to what was a virgin car, then dumpsterd all the original parts, and then thinks that makes it worth fucking $9k. That's really the problem with the red one. I asked him to send me the VIN, he didn't respond. His photos on Facebook marketplace carefully avoided showing the torn vinyl on the drivers seat which is clearly visible in a prior listing I found for the same car - which makes me wonder what else he's hiding. I get a bad feeling from the seller and that's the main problem - there's just no telling what he's hiding if he'll hide such a small thing.
I'm not planning to gut the thing and make some kind of hooligan deathtrap out of it. I'm trying to build a driver with 200-300 casual lazy hp and a nice wide range manual transmission for croozing. I want a good interior, and while upholstery + carpet + headliner are easy enough, door panels and dashboards and the like aren't so easy. It's nice to have a clean starting point.

You mentioned that in the last thread, and said you'd had three of these cars and sold them. You never said why you sold them, or explained why a 240 would be a good choice. I don't know much about them - I've never owned a Volvo, and the only euro cars I have any experience with are an R107 and an E39. I loved both those cars but desu they were a bit of a pain in the ass to work on. I'm concerned a Volvo being similar, and harder to find parts for, but maybe I'm off base here.
