Honestly, Reze’s success was largely thanks to Sony giving it the perfect release window, right after Demon Slayer had reignited the global anime film market just a month earlier.
If a JJK canon movie had been released at that same timing, it probably would’ve easily surpassed $400 million worldwide.
I’m not even particularly a JJK fanboy, but looking at the situation objectively, that’s just the reality.

Rengoku was deified through his death and became the “Jesus” of the KnY franchise, but looking at how Reze was treated in the Makima arc, it’s clear she could never reach that kind of status, which is a shame.
If Fujimoto had some kind of “rewrite the past” Stand ability, he absolutely would’ve excluded Reze from Makima’s controlled weapon-human army.
