That's the problem I had myself until I looked into the production. So apparently cca is based off a novel and in those novels kamille never gets better but rather he commits suicide (?) before fa gets to him at the end of z. I feel like they should have really made some type of scene in why kamille never shows up in cca because even with new translation you wonder why the fuck he never did anything.
I love kamille deeply but never stating cca is not a continuation of the show but rather the novel series is a great misfortune on the understanding of the series of a whole. I haven't read the novels yet but I'm sure committing suicide had to hurt worse to char and led him off the deep end then in the show and in ZZ. I like kamille getting better though in ZZ and later being a doctor in one of the manga though.

It's incredibly frustrating and feels like nothing makes sense with what you know in the show. So is kind of like what was the fucking point of cca and/or ZZ if it doesn't matter? Cca doesn't make sense with zz and cca doesn't make sense with the ZZ narrative.
