Should GV even feel bad? Zonda, Nova, and the rest were evil, and putting them in the ground was a good thing. GV had the right attitude where he didn't think at all about them after he killed them. The only kill he felt bad about was Asimov, and that's because the guy raised him and was a good person before he went off the deep end.

Actually if the Creator iX2 timeline really is Copen beating everyone on the firmament and beating Eden solo he'd have probably been able to use the Muse to successfully find every adept and take them out like he wanted to at first. If that's the case, then it's probably:
>mainline: Adepts run free without any real problem and become majority, lifewave starts getting stronger, Dragon Cancer uh oh stinky
>iX2: Creator Copen successfully eradicates Adepts, connection to the lifewave partially severs, Earth becomes desolate
>iX: Asimov wins on firmament, Adepts still become the majority but are subjugated by Sumeragi, Copen eventually frees both Adepts and Minos and installs pro-Minos leadership via Blade, lifewave balance intact and society is okay
