Okay I held off on playing direct strike because it just looked like protect the lich king/nexus wars and I've already played those a billion times. But holy shit now that I've actually tried it I'm really fucking impressed. Another example of a custom game that would work perfectly as a mobile game if it doesn't exist already.
I don't disagree with people like >>1827109 that say WC3 custom games peaked because obviously that's true, we're not all in our teens anymore, etc. etc., but holy shit there's some real gems out these days with great effort in them. If only blizzard didn't bungle the fucking remaster it wouldn't feel like pulling teeth to get people on for them.
