People often criticize them for faking the player count, but why shouldn't they?
WoW players are very sensitive to declining server populations, so if it starts dropping, many will panic, leave, and create a snowball effect on a server that was perhaps on a temporary dip in players.
Furthermore, Warmane has been alive and well-populated for many years, something which is extremely rare in the private server scene.
Who cares if only 50% or whatever of the player count are actually players if you have more than enough people to actually enjoy the experience (which you do and always did)?
