I have probably two grand in the joystick, throttle, collective, pedals, and mounts (all Virpil hardware with Monstertech desk mounts). I am spoiled on it now though, and can't imagine going back to my t.6000000. With VR you can skip basically all the MFD panels and various "cockpit" decorations with their associated hassles.

Kek, this is true. If I ever lose my current job it's going to be real hard to rip myself away from the rig long enough to get another one. Maybe I'll have my picture wind up on the internet when I'm homeless and flying this setup out of a shopping cart with stolen electricity?
