That's the static model that was mounted on a swivel, there was a rifle variant that looked like a typical volley gun (pic related is a volley gun, I can't find the pic I had of the Chambers gun) with a 168 round capacity. They essentially made a lethal roman candle, and were able to pack 32 rounds per barrel in the static variant, with 24 rounds per barrel in the man portable variant. Their fatal flaw was that pulling the trigger would fire all the rounds without stopping, so they were typically issued to the navy where that was more practical, but the sea air also increased the odds of a malfunction, so it never really shined.
However it was effective enough that the British attempted to reverse engineer them during the war of 1812.
