You're seriously lowballing Hilda.
Sylvain came 5th for males in CYL9. If he actually does win next year it'll be going from 5th to 1st or 2nd.

Hilda came 7th for females in CYL9 and wasn't far behind Yunaka and Alear, the gap between her and those to is less than the gap between Sylvain and Fomortiis.
Even if Hilda doesn't overtake that would put her at 5th for females in CYL10. That going into CYL11 is the exact same striking range Sylvain would have won from in CYL10.

I mean shit, if you don't believe me this is extremely possible, Sharena was 7th for females in CYL8 and then won 1st in CYL9.

In CYL11 Hilda would be benefitting from being the frontrunner for 3H, and also getting what Azura and Sharena did - the fact that there are simply a large proportion of FEH players who will never vote for Engage and will vote for whatever the nearest competition is. If that's Hilda and Sylvain is also off the board so she's the 3H frontrunner, she wins CYL11. Literally every Engage character lost support in CYL9, the people who didn't vote Engage in CYL8 are people who will never vote for Engage.

Based on CYL8 to CYL9 Engage doesn't have any new votes coming from anywhere, whereas the non-Engage voters will basically vote for anybody who isn't from Engage. At her current rate Hilda in CYL11 will be both the 3H frontrunner and the anti-Engage vote.

The way things currently are, Brave Hilda is inevitable.
The only thing that will stop this current trajectory is IS releasing a new game. If it's a game people like, Hilda will probably lose. If it's another Komuro game it will hurt Engage but not any of the other games. If you aren't voting for Engage now you're probably not ever going to vote for a character written by her.
