I beat Dragon Quest 2, it was pretty mindless and easy with an emulator and fast forward button, grinding was reduced to pressing left/right to run back and forth and holding X to auto-select attack while fast-forwarding at ~1000% speed.
Now I'm waffling about if I want to play 3 on SNES or the HD-2D remake. SNES would probably give me a similar easy experience to 2 where I could check it off on my "Yeah, I beat that game" mental list, but the HD would be more like a 'real' game.

Anyway, IRyS should play Final Fantasy 4.
