It's really good, sweet sticky pork. Serve it over rice with a bit of soy sauce and you have a delightful meal.

Purple garlic is hardneck, there's also white garlic, elephant garlic (which is actually a kind of onion), wild garlic, etc. All sorts of different species with different colors and flavors.

Botulism is a pretty significant risk. Not something you want to scoff at. Gotta be very careful and check the things you can/jar.
