1. Because CoTW didn’t have the name brand recognition of KoF
2. Last Garou game came out over 25 years ago
3. The last Garou was lean and this one just feels like KoF-lite
4. Despite all the attempts at attracting zoomies this was a much harder and less accessible game than SF6
5. Despite SNK games looking better every time a new one drops it’s still always leagues behind its contemporaries which turns people off
6. SNK characters are unironically more popular being Capcom’d than the other way around. That’s why Mai and Terry have high usage rates in SF6.
7. Allot of people were turned off by the usage of real world people as guest characters
I’m sure there’s more reasons but yeah SNK will never be top dawg in this genre.
