"The courage to hurt yourself and others!" Okay man, whatever floats your boat. But I don't see it as significantly more authentic, when Yami's still highly idealized for waifuing despite that. Which I don't dislike. What I find bizarre is you defending her edgy cred while also trying to absolve her of blame. At best her decisions are comparable to Kazusa's, and sometimes notably worse.
>tried to emotionally scar Yuu with rebound sex the second time they met, only to fall in love by happy accident from his kindness. There's nothing comparably malicious in how Kazusa fell for Haruki.
>kept up a carefree persona to try keeping his interest. Comparable to Kazusa's reflexive tsuntsun attitude, but more calculated.
>hid her family-fixing fuckup from him, and ghosted him without explaining anything. Could be compared to Kazusa leaving the country, except Kazusa had an official piano reason, wasn't Haruki's gf, and didn't know he cared at first.
>kept quiet about her history with Yuu after finding out Hikari was THE childhood friend. Comparable to Kazusa keeping quiet about her feelings.
>tried avoiding Yuu to not trigger trouble. Comparable with Kazusa.
>tried to let Yuu walk away when he found her in the classroom, but couldn't hold it in. Kazusa actually held up better, and Haruki was the one who had to keep breaking down in front of her before she'd respond.
>Kazusa had goodbye sex with Haruki, cheating on Setsuna. Yami can only wish Yuu were down for this.
>Yami knowingly kissed Yuu in front of Hikari. Comparable with Kazusa.

>The VN needs the plot-twist of Setsuna seeing her kissing Haruki in that night to justify her, without that, Setsuna is definitely the best girl and much better than the autistic emo disaster girl.
Setsuna wouldn't have made a move at all if she hadn't gotten spooked by that. The whole story would've proceeded differently, and her character wouldn't be as interesting.
