Janitor does well with memory. You can add long-term memories to it, like "Every time Sarah hears the word 'artichoke' she will fall asleep" and it will persist. Perchance allows this too, kinda...although it will start injecting the memory unnecessarily, like "Sarah vacuums the house, but the word 'artichoke' hangs over her." Annoying.
Janitor also fixes the randomness problem by letting you control the "temperature" (randomness) of replies with sliders, and a few more settings you can tweak. I don't think Perchance does this unless you fool with the code, which I cba to do.
Caveat though, I did drop 10 american dollars to hook Janitor up to the paid Deepseek v3, because I'm employed and can afford half a penny per prompt. Works on my machine.
