the royals, the seven families of the count electors, live in seclusion, enjoying their oppulence while letting figure heads take up the attention. every 12 years they hold a contest to determine who among the families will take the orb, the symbol of leadership. 7 families each select a champion to engage in a life and death battle in a bizarre and sophisticated battle royale. why is it called battle royale? because it is ltierally the battle between the royals! there are no specific rules, though of course, the champions are not permitted to harm any member of the royal families in anyway. though casulties among the civlian population are accepted, they are not encouraged. ideally the matter is to be kept between the 7 champions.
