Here's to a non-meme answer: My headcanon is that she spends most of her wake time stuck in her own mind, thinking, daydreaming, meditating, silently despairing... just completely absentminded because the alternative is put up with the fact she is Bowser's prisoner (or worse, put up with him). Alternatively, she could be writing things down like a diary or log, or letters for Mario.
