Bananza has kind of ruined my hopes for the next 3D Mario. I want it to be good, but I'm really sick of the Odyssey style open world now. I feel like a Galaxy style 3D game would be better, in the sense that it's mission based mostly linear levels that don't feel like the courses from 2D Mario and the 3D Land/World games. Between Mario and Peach having their reputation dragged through the mud recently, the shitty state of Mario Kart World, the fact that Donkey Kong Bananza ate up time and resources for a new 3D Mario, and the 40th anniversary direct probably being a nothingburger, I've never been more demoralized as a Mario fan than I have now. I feel like jumping ship to Kirby for a bit, at least that series seems to be well taken care of and has better fanservice and a somewhat better fandom. This whole thing might be just me since I have no business with current Nintendo releases so I can just give myself the privilege of not caring at all with things like MKW or Bananza. Not to mention that for the games that I can play, I can just grab them and ditch them without regret cause I'm not paying a penny for them most of the time. But even then, I've had my regretful purchases too, expectations let down and even for those instances I took the time to appreciate certain things and say "this is not what I expected, but I had fun regardless".

I'm speaking about economy and living conditions, man; surely it doesn't hit everyone else as hard as it hits me, but to my understanding, everyone is getting fucked over in one way or another and that's been a fact for roughly 15 years from now. Nowadays, it's more difficult to have a land of your own, to get a job, to buy groceries, engage with society, pay medical expenses, education... it's not as bad as it used to be a million years ago, of course, but it's still a struggle in it's own merit, specially compared on how it used to be just a couple years ago.

Society has been in a decline for sure, but we are not going anywhere anytime soon, we may be getting stupider due to commodities over growth, but that doesn't mean our days are numbered. I mean, we survived Sodom and Gomorrah (implying it actually happened, which may be plausible).
