You can actually turn the camera as well as zoom in, feels nice when playing it, but I still couldn't get into it. PoE's been the only other D1/D2 clone that I've put a substantial amount of time into. It's been the closest in matching what I've enjoyed out of the Diablo's in terms of style, tone, music, etc.

I prefer the 4-5 hovels with depressed/schizophrenic villagers and a church/temple/dungeon. better if it's isolated so you can make a little adventure braving the wastes that surround it before hitting something of note. diablo 1 has the perfect town honestly
