It's not a *bad* idea, per se, but it depends on what the car is, and how much money you make; your inability to wrench and tinker means even the smallest shit will require trip to the garage, eating into your wallet and reducing the amount of time you're able to drive. No idea what your budget is, but try and get a very nice and well sorted example of whatever it is you want, just so you don't have a "rolling restoration" that will spend most of it's time in the garage, rather than on the road.
