A Mania 2 (basically what Superstars is, let's be honest) wouldn't have been as well received as the original no matter what. The classic games can be fun, but it's not interesting if they just keep doing what appears to be the same thing over and over. It's the same reason why the Advance games were different too. I think the Classic branch of the series needs to also evolve if they want it to continue
