I can see how someone would think that Factorio is pro ecology because it has solar panels and pollution exists as a mechanic. However, the bugs are specifically nightmare fuel and not meant to be viewable as the good guys.

To say that you're incentivized to build solar is pretty braindead though, solar panels on their own aren't that expensive but the accumulators they need to function through the night are incredibly petrochem heavy which means that investing in solar infrastructure is not generally going to actually save you that much pollution. The main way that the game incentivizes solar in the mid-game is by making solar create more power than any easily available coal set-up, but it's still markedly worse than just burning oil.

In fact ever since I learned how to efficiently and safely just burn petrochem for fuel I find it's more efficient and less polluting to just burn solid fuel for intermediate power generation between coal and nuclear. It doesn't require you to capture nearly as much land either which is more economically conscious.

sorry, but your Nauvis base is going to be entirely at the mercy of cliffs until you get to vulcreptum. Same for artillery.

The enemies on Gleba are only really susceptible to rockets and tesla turrets, they can walk over walls, out-range gun and flamethrower turrets and are immune to landmines. all enemies on Fulgora are 50% resistant to lasers as well so those aren't viable either. Rockets are researched on Gleba so they are not viable to start. Tesla turrets are from Fulgora. You will pretty much just have to let the enemies destroy your farms and shit constantly until you can get rockets researched and automated.
