IT aint that bad for old guys. A lot of them have relevant experience even with today's bullshit. The real kicker though is they stagnate and rather stay at a certain level of responsibility. You rarely find above 50yr managers. They prefer to give that up to younger guys with more willingness to accept mistakes. Older guys just want to act as a subject matter expert, train the new guys and grill.

Grander scale there a few jewish groups fighting over where the new holy land should be. Multiple tribes are willingly letting each others die for there apocalypse scenario. Not all world leaders and cults are on the same page so there duking it out. Iran to some extent is playing there part in the story but if they do not nuke Jerusalem then they decided as a group (shia's) to play there own religious game.
