Paganism has no lasting civilization of its own. It produced no enduring literature, no meaningful advances in science, technology, or invention.

If anything, I’d rather you just be atheist. But don’t try to use “Nordic culture” as a shield or identity. Modern Norwegians don’t believe in Odin, and treating him as a real deity is no different from treating Frodo or Sauron as real.(Tolkien saga)

At best, modern paganism is atheism with an extra step, mixed with cultural appropriation of Nordic heritage. If you’re serious about it, you might as well go worship Zeus or some other mythological figure.
