No, I call them girlfailures because the term is highly packageable. It cleanly and intuitively describes a personality type and sets expected behaviors/appearances. It makes discussion of the concept very simple.
The same way I'd use the term bimbo if I'm interested in girls who are notably dumb but also pretty and at least have a nice set of tits and DSL. How I'd use the term white trash/redneck if I want to reference girls in daisy dukes and white tank tops who are poor and probably chubby. Invoking the term nerd for a girl who's got glasses and something going on with her teeth (buck teeth, braces, overbite, all of the above) with geeky interests and spastic personality.

I fetishize it to be sure. But it has nothing to do with glorifying the concept or rendering women attainable. It's just a handy label to get the point across.
