The 20% HP threshold is also laughably low, and you mostly just ask what the point is. The usual targets in MD just dies to status then anyways. And that's without going into detail what a meme blemor & hemorrhage is.

So yeah, dogshit ID with some schizophrenic and outright questionable design choices that probably spurred from overcorrections in regards to Maost & Kodya, but then Ishmael turned out pretty good so... Maybe it's just barely restrained loathing for Gregor, and now they don't have to consider giving him another Walpipi ID for the next two years.

Gregor continuing to be outclassed even when he's supposed to get something special is pretty funny though. At least some things remain consistent.
