The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell, found this to be really disappointing desu I loved the current day parts with Emilio but so much of the story feels like filler while stuffing all the interesting details about how things went wrong into the last few chapters

This Alien Shore by C.S Lewis, I'm only 6 chapters in but I'm really liking it so far pretty cool idea making the Aliens of the universe genetically modified humans from the first interstellar flight gone wrong

Not entirely sure but I'm thinking about stepping out of the typically SFF books I read and checking out The Power of the Dog by Don Winslow or maybe The Gold Coast by Nelson DeMille
