This. If you’re practicing with a carry gun then it needs to be in the configuration in which you carry it. The only way modularity could “help” you is if you want to switch it into a target configuration to fuck around with, but you still need to practice with and shoot it in the carry configuration so even then it’s really just for fun, not practice.

Has to be the dumbest argument I’ve ever heard. Why does the army need a modular pistol? When does the army count on a pistol? Do they really need to often swap between different grip and barrel lengths? Owning a modular pistol barely makes sense as a civilian, less in the military, and if the military really needs two different pistol sizes/variants (they don’t) what’s stopping them from buying two pistols? Why do they need a pistol that an armorer can modify for them into a different model? Just issue them the pistol that they “need”.
