The fairy is super powerful. If you use it well and it's high level, you can pretty much go into the dungeons without healing consumables.

The highest I got my fairy "normally" is 4. I resorted to reloading the game and trying over and over until level 5 dropped. IIRC it took around 40-ish takes so it's wasn't that bad.

Zelda fairies essentially being glowing orbs of light is a very charming (and realistic...) way to depict a FAIRY... There's an interview where the developers said they wanted navi to actually have a body but it was a misuse of resources and it would slow the game down to have a tiny, detailed character model zoom around the screen.

Every character has better writing in Majora's mask. Just way more compelling. I wonder if it was an autistic miyamoto mandate that OOT must have incredibly basic, stunted dialogue. Sheikh is the only character who ever gets deep about anything
