its not too late, just learning enough to be able to understand the menus already helps a lot
>cleared chapter 1 and halfway through chapter 2 and it feels like the main story is just a huge tutorial, just unlocked the ability to use each element's effect
>fire dragons will get a damage boost and damage mitigation relative to how much fp you have stored
>water dragons will gain fp when attacked
>wind dragons will get an extra small damage aoe attack after doing a normal attack
>earth dragons can flinch the enemy on hit
>neutral dragons can drain the enemy fp on hit
>light dragons get a damage boost relative to how many dead allies you have
>dark dragons can cleanse themselves from debuffs
and with each non random encounter fight having a gimmick it really makes this game more of a strategy team builder specially with the lvl cap being 10, the game also has some collab dragons like a katamari head dragon and a dragon with a klonoa wig which all look pretty funny, kind of bummed so many mongers stayed japan only though
