It depends on the circles you run in. If you’re a banker, lawyer, professor, any sort of white collar professional more typically associated with being higher brow it is more or less normal to socialize in something like a OCBD with a blazer and trousers or even dress clothes or even a full suit. For women who run in those circles, it’s common so they don’t hate it. If the circles you run in are 20 year old undergraduates or 25 year old barflies with sleeve tattoos that work as cashiers then they might dislike it. Still, there is a middle ground that works for basically everyone. An OCBD can be pulled off by basically any guy in any situation. Loafers are en vogue now even as streetwear. Classic jeans can provide a classic look. So there are traditional pieces you can wear for pretty much any occasion in pretty much any scene. Pic related would look good on a banker at a country club or a sleeve tattooed welder at a dive bar.
