Amazingly, communists will use whatever argument they think will get what they want. They also currently argue that mass immigration is the will of God. Or that mass immigration is some sort of penance for colonialism. In the Soviet Union, where mass migration was openly used to destroy nations (ask anyone from the Baltics) they said nationalism is an invention of capitalism. The thing about totalitarians is they say whatever they think will work to get power, and when they get it they brutally smash anything they think can foment resistance, be it national identity, the family unit, private property, religion etc. You can check this out by opening any history book.
