probably because Infinite was a failed product that both companies acknowledged and recovered from and the long standing business relationship from the 90's (80's if you count Capcom's relationship with Disney) sustained itself with the Arcade1up cabinets and MvC adjacent merch well after 2018 because employees didn't care for airing drama out at least publicly.
if there's any Capcom employee that specifically hates Marvel that worked on Infinite, they either don't work there anymore or were never vocal about their hatred to begin with which is fine.
But there's been a lot of positive words on the contrary, at least some of the SF6 devs and everyone in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOAxkoMMGmw that includes OG MvC devs likely want to work on another one or have stated as much in collection interviews:
>Disney obviously wasn't happy either which is why they are now working with another dev to make exactly the same kind of game.
It's a tag game with Marvel characters, sure, but everything about about is still ArcSys's take on the subgenre and from the EVO stuff, it doesn't seem like it's trying to totally replace MvC gameplay-wise. And all we know about Tokon's inception is that it was proposed initially by a Sony rep and ArcSys found the subgenre to be sacred and Marvel was cool with it. Putting it in the place of MvC is not something I'd advise anyone to do given everything Marvel and Capcom have said publicly about MvC, especially surrounding the collection.
