Helem is basically the closest thing Altus has to a mom since she's literally the one who gave him life. It's pretty sad when you think about it.

I think if you view Altus/Arkos sharing a body as a mirror to Diana/Goat (especially since, as we find out this chapter, Arkos/Goat both wiped out a city), this development is honestly pretty appropriate.
