if you have a medkit, and someone is more than 20% hurt (or even less), don't gamble on bandages or making it across, HEAL THEM because healing items are in every 2nd luggage apparently, and also medkits weigh 2 so might as well get rid of them.
also take into consideration the skill level of the people around you. if a gold sash accidentally leaps off and falls to his death, that is going to be extremely rare, so chances are you won't need a 2nd medkit anytime soon or perhaps for the whole run.
i learned from my mistake and paid the price very dearly. never gamble on a life.
