The Fulcrum's ergonomics are hilarious. HOTAS is alien technology.

I can't believe no KGB spy ever told Mikoyan-Gurevich that pretty much every Western fighter by the 70's had an ACM or a Sidewinder button somewhere on the throttle or stick. Here you take your hands off and flip switches and knobs in completely different places.

Imagine a car that doesn't have steering column stalks. Turn indicator is a rotary switch on the door, wipers are a button you have to keep depressed on the center console, clutch is a switch that you have to flip up so you can shift and then flip back down to connect, also on the center console, and the headlight are a pedal you have to hold down. Also no speedo or tacho, just two lights that say "overspeed" and "overrev".

That's about how the Mig-29 feels.
