Fortunately, I broke out of that cycle though. I quit video essays and started doing twitch comp let's plays and became much happier because of it. I no longer get views, but I knew that would happen. Currently transitioning to slightly more traditional Let's Plays so that I can spend less time editing and actually start streaming regularly.
