You can take a look at the pony model I posted earlier. She has wings opening animation like in vid related. The way I did it is there are two wing models: closed and open. In animation you start with closed wings, animate them to make them as similar to the opened ones as possible and then in frames 6 -7 I hide the closed wings and swap them with the opened ones (in my case I animated the scale to 0.01 to hide one of them).
