It's a paradox, the women who go there already know they are on the losing end, and when they see you there, they'll apply what they feel about themselves to you, i.e. you'll look like a loser to them for even showing up to an event designed to get them out of singlehood.

Additionally, even the 34 yo women with kids who go there want a handsome tall guy who will pay for everything in their life, and you fall short of those expectations.
They'll treat you normally to get a conversation, an ego boost and some free meals from dating you but it's not going anywhere.
You'll only waste time and money.
