They're very particular about the suppression field in saying that it prevents very specific protein interactions from happening during conception.
So it shouldn't stop people from going at it or wanting to, but I would imagine that even if the field had no other effect that the general reality of being packed like cattle during a human apocalypse would put a damper on getting in the mood anyway.
