To add to this people dislike comic sans mostly due to association, same for papyrus/chiller, but designers hate it due to its poor kerning, line weights and being neither straight enough to look professional nor angled enough to look like handwriting. It looks awful as a block of text mainly due to the sizing and kerning. Augie also looks like trash, but it's more easily read trash.
Anyway for variety other than fonts, here's a layout test for a page of the next comic I'm working on. I can actually call it a comic this time as I'll be using gutters and a 2:3 vertical page. Want to include some out-of-border pop, though it's actually harder to do that with AI art as I generated it with a background first. Subject is an MHA parody, futa in red is an original character based on bosozoku, MHA designs are pretty boring to me so making up my own bad guy was fun. Came up with a pun name, "stick shift" and their special move is the "suicide clutch". No one reading it to beat off will get it, but that's fine by me.
