Your last point I understand but realistically the Chinese would go to total war against us if they thought we were going to simultaneously stay on earth and colonize space while telling them to get fucked. We will for a fact cause a massive civilizational war that would set back the whole original space colonization idea to a extent it might not be possible any time soon after the war.

The interesting scenario that negates the war would be if we handed china all the good white farmland parts of earth if the white race totally left the planet for the stars.

We are best off mutually cooperating with the high civ Asians because otherwise one day far off they will chase us to the stars or we would have to obliterate earth(asteroid bombardment or whatever) from space to keep any and all other races eventually getting to space and niggering the whole galaxy to high hell.

And it's not unhinged if it works and it actually works better than everything else.
