This isn't a new concept either, shitty android emulators have done this for over a decade at this point where you have to pay to get rid of ads from within the emulator. They often even add them during gameplay so it increases the chance of you accidentally tapping on them. How the hell nintendo or any emulator devs haven't taken any action against these scummy devs is a mystery, they often times steal already existing emulators and charge a price for them on there.
