The objectively correct blessing is High Voltage, it always goes on the shield maul, there is no alternative.
The rest is a matter of opportunity cost (picrel).

Default pick. Don't think of crushers as overhead machines. Think of them as carapace bulwarks. A pack of 5 rainbow colored crushers might be blocking line of sight or line of fire to the trapper that's about to end your run, or the sniper about to kill 2 of your retards. Clearing them out in a couple less hits might very realistically make or break the run.

Overrated crutch with limited value. Piggy is already absolutely swimming in toughness, and you should never struggle to maintain 100% when you're in active melee combat anyway. At best, it's about as strong as a skill point in your tree. Since many good builds take 1-2 defensive toughness regen nodes, you're at best freeing up 1 point you can sink into a more offensive node. Because all good builds already take all of the good damage nodes, you're very likely at most getting a +15% additive damage somewhere in your tree, which is hardly worth losing the ability to kill crushers faster.
Stop aping Mister Estrogen, he's making suggestions for completely retarded players that can't function without crutches.
>Last Guard
The actual viable alternative, because it will not only let you tank a pretty retarded amount of damage to your shield when combined with block efficiency curios, but it also bails you out of otherwise unsalvageable cornered situations. It's not "good" because you don't actually want to TOOOONK, but it does a unique thing no other blessing does, and that thing it does can save runs. Pretty good in havoc.
>Hammerblow
The amount of impact it grants is actually insane, but unfortunately purely defensive, in the sense that knocking enemies on their ass makes their heads harder to hit and thus ruins your DPS. If you need stun just flashbang.
