On DI rifles condensation is a problem on the bcg due to tight tolerances, causing FTEs even with dry lubes. These usually clear up on the 2nd or 3rd shot as the hot gases clear everything. That heat can cause a refreeze later, but usually that's not a problem unless you're consistently -20ish or lower. If the gun runs in good conditions with an H2ish, swapping back to carbine can help deal with the extreme cold cases.
