>Chopra is against this exact shit
>Chopra only makes direct reference to PayPal's $2,500 fine for people disseminating what PayPal interpreted as misinformation which conservative outlers reported back in October 2022
You're the retard.
You're grasping at straws.
First, this refers to an event at Brookings in October 2023, a year after events with PayPal transpired.
Was there a press release in 2022 from the CFPB? No.
Who, at the time lobbied against PayPal's misinfo policy? Conservatives.
Chopra address focuses more on 'surveillance' and the ability to dissemimate information potentially deemed as misinfo by PayPal, while drawing parallels to China's Alipay and such.
What Chorpa nor the CFPB does not do here, or ever, is address payment processors' refusal to facilitate transactions for explicit media.
Try again.
