>Feels depressing to think that's the best I can do.
Well it is likely best u can do because the time to "shine" for a human being is actually really short and it happens under extraordinary circumstances, most human beings were not meant to revolutionize art, science, etc its just not like that especially when a lot of things have already been invented and we just have rehashes or optimizations of mechanisms we figured out long ago, all that is "innovative" now is AI nothing else is happening, sensors that shit humanity figured them out like more than 50 years ago, now there is AI that self drives cars for example booho, im not super impressed by it.
What i mean is yes in fact: having a family is meaningful because likely you are not the super genius you dreamt of being, having kids can carry your legacy & your features dats meaningful when it happens you will understand because you can educate them however you want, even politically its the best thing you can do long term whatever might be that you believe in and also as a means of having somebody to carry your stunted legacy, when you aint able to finish up a colossal life project your kids might. So trust me just build them up, and you fall in love with your creations too, its almost impossible you do not. You will see what I mean, the first years are the most tender ones. And its not depressing, what is depressing is missing out forever on this potential. Because survival on our own past our prime when we are just rotting away glooming at life gets boring so fast. Truth is for most of us this ends up being the best we did, very few of us end up being extraordinary like i said, we end up settling for being mundane because when all the opportuny windows are lost aging, the mundane ol things that just work are the ones dat satisfy the most, u never knew how great you had it until you lost it sorta deal when it comes to those physical capacities, etc.
