I know what design similarities you mean. It's just that Cyndia's color palette and the fact that she's Pegasus' deceased lover that connects to dark magician girl. Mana was from thousands of years ago. And then there was the whole thing where Pegasus was trying to make a hologram of cyndia and DMG ironically is pretty close to that.
