it's always funny how /v/ acts like they're all serious gamers who care about skill expression and difficult hardcore games, but in practice you all just end up whining about it
like imagine starting tf2 for the first time in 2025 and complaining that everyone else is too good at the game. Yeah, most of the playerbase has been around for over a decade, what do you expect? If you download starcraft you're also not going to be able to go toe to toe with experienced players. This is just the reality of any high skill game, you need to actually put time and effort in to get good.
I don't know why games like mordhau and chivalry get this specific kind of complaint and games like tf2 don't. Maybe it just feels more personal to be humiliated in melee combat than to be shot in an fps.
