I'm not sure if recall is the same thing as experiencing dreams, and whether both get improved at the same time, but it appears that taking 1mg of melatonin to help me fall asleep at sane hours correlates with me having dreams that night, that I remember at least for a moment after waking up, sometimes longer. I don't want to pressure you anon into taking any medicine, I tried that primarily to fix my sleep cycle using something that's harmless according to Wikipedia etc., the dreams were a pleasant side effect. Sometimes the sleep after melatonin feels "different" though, I saw someone comparing it to falling asleep drunk but I don't have that experience so I'm not sure if that's it.
Another thing that helped me getting some dreams, but I wouldn't say always remembering them, is a bunch of alarm clocks in the morning, every 10 minutes or so. Waking up just enough to turn them off and immediately falling back asleep seems to give me "something".
They're just never about her.
