I love wet Luna on a beach!
I love the idea of building sand castles with her. Just imagine... Luna and Tia are probably over 1500 years old... and yet they find joy in the simplest of filly activities and just being silly... I love that

Sometimes when I walk back from work (its about 20min walk) I imagine Luna walking beside me and we talk. There isnt realy any people on that route so I often get carried away with talking and waving my hands when explaining stuff to her, I like to even imagine her moves, how she walks, her reactions, and try to "see" her with my "imaginative eye"
We often talk about technology, as I think she would realy be into trying to understand electricity and stuff after being gone for 1000 years. Last time we talked about how people used to generate light over the years, before that I told her about telephones, switchboards and tube amplifiers...

She is a bit autistic and so I am so I like to imagine we would both be interested in stuff like this... and I would love to learn stuff like the inner-workings of magic from her..
Too bad she is just my imagination and so I cant realy learn anything new from her...

Moonlight Veiled is definitely unique, I'm a big fan.
Though I like leaning more into Luna's dreamwalking abilities. The subconscious mind is fascinating, and Anon coming from somewhere beyond her realm with all these foreign experiences would definitely get her attention.

Why would she be a villain? Unless it's a remake of G4 in movie form, events of S1E1-2 included, I don't see a reason why she would be cast as an evil character. What's much more probable in my opinion is that they'll forget about her (again) or intentionally trim the cast and just focus on Mane 6 with Celestia as the sole ruler. Basically retcon Celestia having a sister in the first place. I'm leaning towards the latter scenario due to the previous g4 movie being criticized for having too many characters.

The Enchanted World series is a bunch of really cool compendiums about magic, myths, and folklore. I've been skimming through some of them off of my mom's shelf after it was dumped on her by my grandma and it's super interesting. They were also made in the 80's so it's not pozzed or anything, so it gives pretty authentic retellings of these stories. They're a little tricky to find links to all of them but the libgen one I provided is the first book and legit.

Lmao, I got excited about talking about these books I forgot halfway through I'm on /mlp/ and not /lit/ or /his/. Anyways, happy daydreaming!

I think she would visit the following: /biz/, /his/, /sci/, /an/, /k/, /n/, /out/, and /po/ (paper/oragami).
/biz/, /his/, /n/, and /k/ overlap with her responsibilities as part of the head of state. All these, except /biz/, also have a bit of autistic quality to them which Luna would delight in.
/sci/, /an, /out/, and /po/ align with her general curiosity in nature and sciences, as well as her need to over analyze (/po/ would fit that, sort of, or at least something that would keep her mind occupied for stretches of time).

Luna always struck me as the kind of mare that generally wants to be out indulging her curiosity; exploring things, looking at interesting things in nature, figuring things out. Also, I see her as the sister that is always wanting to fund an observatory, exploration/scientific expedition, geological survey, and other such things. She never struck me as a sit down and play video games kind of mare (maybe once in a while), and certainly not multi-player online games as she is much less social than her sister. But, those are just my thoughts on the matter.

Well, to be honest there's not much to go on in the show. To some extent, you need to fill in the gaps with imagination.

You're not the only moonfag who feels this way. The infrequency with which she appears in the show has left me with more questions than answers when it comes to her personality. I wish I could answer those questions just by talking to her, but I think we just have to make up answers we're happy with.

On the other hand, the few appearances she did make in the show gave me the things I love the most about her. I used to worry that those reasons might be shallow or not good enough, but I'm not concerned anymore. I know people who love background ponies with almost no dialogue, all because of fanon, or one author's interpretation of what their personality might be like. I wouldn't say that they don't understand their mares just because their love isn't informed directly by the show. So, I don't think it's a bad thing that a lot of Luna's personality is made up by fans. On a certain level, your favorite pony is whoever you want her to be.

The show does her kinda dirty because she would fit better in a High Fantasy setting than whatever the fuck post-industrial ass society the world became by the end of the series. I blame the inconstancy amongst the writing staff, but I believe she was supposed to be the wise, "lady of the lake" type character with a tragic past who was stuck in a slapstick comedy.

Personally, I like that she has few appearances. To me, she's always been the more mysterious, brooding, and anti-social (for a time) kind of mare. In terms of how they're characterized in the show, Twilight is far and away the most likely to act that way. When Luna sees someone taking a misstep, she tends to just point them in the right direction and then wait for them to overcome the problem on their own. Even if Luna /were/ this concerned about Anon hurting himself, I think she'd be more likely to instruct Anon on proper knife safety rather than take the issue out of his hands entirely.
